    Default Pearle Island

Looks like a pretty good weather window for Sunday and Monday so was thinking of running out of Homer and going down around Pearle Island in seach of big lings and butts.

Anyone been down there recently? How was the action?

My friend Larry went out yesterday to the Chugach Islands/Gore Point and got one ling (got a second smaller ling) that was 55 inches. He went home with a sore back from 13 hours fishing on the water...

I fish around Perl whenever the weather permits. The halibut fishing is tremendous, and the average size is what makes the trip. The weather can be pretty iffy down there, so check the buoy data before you leave and the barrens/gore point forecast.

Area gets hit pretty hard by the charters for Lings, so you may have to do some searching if you get down there and wish to persue Lingcod. The farther you go the better....
