    Default The Black Sheep

Join up, you dont have to have base access. When you become a member its awesome. The indoor range can be accessed via combo on the door whenever you want. Its up to 50 yards indoors. Includes 2 bow presses/fletching jig/string jig/chronograph/paper tuner/arrow scale and even has a dvd player for the little ones in there all free to members. The outdoor range is up to up to 80 yards at the static range and all summer there is a free 15-20 target 3-d course to shoot. Along with the leagues and other holiday get togethers, hands down the best. All for $75 a year. About half of the 154 members are civilians. It is one of the best deals Ive been associated with in 18 years of archery.

    Check us out at www.blacksheeparchery.com

Contact me Scott F. and I can help make your new membership a lot easier. Its really not that tough. I look forward to seeing you all at the range.

    Default So did something change?

    Scott,
Did something in the bylaws get changed to where civilians don't have to be escorted on base after a certain time of night (I thought it was like 2200 hrs.)? But I haven't seen the new bylaws yet, so maybe I am mistaken. Thanks for sorting out my incorrect thoughts if I am wrong.

    Default Nope

I just looked through. If you have no military affiliation but the Black Sheep you may access the base 7am till 10pm 7 days a week. I am truly sorry if I misrepresented that. You will get a combo for the door though to come and go whenever you want during those hours. I really dont know where else you can shoot during those hours 7 days a week. I have met some of my buddies at the gate though so we could shoot together at 2am before. If you not a convicted or charged fellon I can get you a base pass and membership withing a day. Just did it for two new members from Eagle River 2 weekends ago. Send me a PM if your intrested and I give ya my number. I would be happy to help. Scott

Scotty's right, it is a great archery club! I hesitate to shout it from the rooftops because it's like a favorite hunting spot; I greedily don't want everyone in it. The indoor and outdoor ranges are awsome and well kept up. Better yet is the friendships I've developed at the ranges. I can't even leave the house with my bow in hand and not have my little guy (6-years-old) tagging along to the ranges flinging his wooden arrows. I'm ready to shoot something that bleeds; paper targets and 3-D's don't serve well on the table. Good luck to all.
