    Default Kasilof reds--where to go?

    All,

Any advice on good public access places for Kasilof reds? I'd like to try it tomorrow but have never fished it.

    Thanks!

Try crooked creek or coho cove. I have fished both and been successful.

You can also park at the lot at the bridge (southern side) and then walk upstream about 200 yrds. There is a large gravel bar there where we have been successful at times.

What kind of tackle do people use on the Kasilof for reds? Pencil leads with a 3' leader and a russian river fly? or something else?
